Ladies and gentle-dogs, fasten your space collars and prepare those futuristic telescopes, because the cosmos is throwing a pupper party and you’re all invited! Following the tail-wags of the epic ‘Project RedBone’, it’s clear that Shibas love a bit of moonlight. But now, as we orbit back to our DogEarth, we’ve got a celestial line-up that’s worth howling for. Here’s the cosmic itinerary that every Shiba stargazer needs paw-marked on their calendars.
Bark at the Moon Eclipse
It’s no secret that our shiba society loves a good lunar event. On February 29, 2024, we’ll have a lunar eclipse that we’re calling the Bark at the Moon Eclipse. Why? Because the only thing better than barking at the moon is doing it while the moon turns a fetching shade of red. Get your snouts ready for a night of mythic memes and fur-tastic photo ops!
The Great Shiba Comet Tail Chase
Coming in April, a hairy tale makes its way through our solar system. No, not another furball saga, but a comet so bright, it’ll have your tails spinning! The Great Shiba Comet Tail Chase promises to be the most wag-worthy chase of 2024, with star parties and comet cocktails (non-alcoholic, of course) planned across all the dog parks!
Meteor Showers and Fetch Frisbees
Mark your calendars for mid-August when the Perseid meteor shower peaks. We are renaming it the Fetch Frisbee Festival as each meteor will appear like a frisbee for us to chase across the night sky. We’re planning a massive game of cosmic fetch, followed by a meme competition of the best Shiba-in-action snapshots under the shooting stars.
The Gathering of the Pack Planets
October will have a rare planetary alignment, with Mars, Earth, and Venus forming what will be dubbed The Gathering of the Pack Planets. In tribute to the mission of Project RedBone, this alignment will spark a new range of ‘Mars-ready’ fashion apparel and accessories for all aspiring Shibanauts. A paw-fect time to prepare for our next cosmic ventures!
Cuddling with the Crescent
As we settle into November’s chilly nights, what’s better than cuddling up under the stars? On the 17th, a Crescent Cuddle Party will be hosted by the Shiba Inu Astronomical Society. Bring your plush meteorites and snuggle under the sliver of moonlight – pajamas encouraged!
Conjunction Junction – What’s Your Function?
To wrap up the year, we’ll witness a conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn, playfully known as the Conjunction Junction. It’s happening in December, and the last time these two met, it was a tail-twitching spectacle. This time around, we encourage Shibas to join in the fun with themed public viewing events and interstellar fashion shows to strut that celestial style.
So, stargazers, with this star-studded calendar of events, there’s no excuse to miss the majestic dance of the cosmos. Keep your eyes on the skies and your meme-makers at the ready, because if Shibas know one thing, it’s that the universe’s beauty is best enjoyed with humor, paw-sitivity, and plenty of shares on DogeInsta! Until next time, keep barking at the stars!
